The weather is almost always flawless due to the semitropical to tropical marine, moderated by warm waters of the Gulf Stream. However, the location of the Bahamas causes it prone to hurricanes.
The currency is the Bahamian Dollar, but the American money is accepted everywhere, which makes your vacation easy and stress free.
The Bahamas is greatly dependent upon tourism, so the natives go out of their way to make sure you are safe and have a great time. When I visited the Bahamas, we stayed at Paradise Island Harbor Club. The was strict security everywhere. There was a guard walking around the resort and a guard at the gate 24 hrs everyday. Everyone was also extremely friendly and helpful. The guard at the gate would call a taxis for us and call our room when it arrived. They would always carry out suitcases and any bags for us. The women at the front desk were also extremely friendly and helpful. Anytime we wanted to book a day trip or had any questions they would assist us in a heartbeat.
Overall, I feel that the Bahamas has the perfect environment with crystal clear teal blue water and white sandy beaches, I feel the island is the perfect destination for a vacation, honeymoon, wedding, or a party!

Hey Abbey,
YAY for the Bahamas! I have never been to the Bahamas but would love to go someday. The facts you posted are interesting and your blog picture is beautiful. Did you take that yourself? I can't wait to see more pictures!

Yea, you should take a vacation there someday. It is a very beautiful and relaxing place. Yes, I did take all the pictures on the blog myself. It is the perfect place for great photography.
I went to the Bahamas with my parents when I was very young (we saw the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding story break when we were there, haha!) so I don't remember much, but our photos are seriously beautiful! We stayed in a hotel that was right on the beach and had the most incredible turquoise water.
I can remember going into town and being bombarded by ladies who wanted to braid and bead my hair. After about a thousand "no's" I finally gave in and the woman yelled at me for complaining that the braids were too tight (I must've been traumatized to remember this so many years later! lol). It took an entire bottle of hair conditioner and about 4 hours to get those stupid braids out!
Hey Jenna,
Thats so cool that you got to go there. Yea, there was crazy ladies trying to braid my hair too and I was like no way. It hurts way to bad!!!
